The Appalachian Ballet Company Presents The Nutcracker

Saturday, December 5 at 8:00 pm
Sunday, December 6 at 2:00 pm
at the Civic Auditorium

The Appalachian Ballet Company,
in their 38th season, will present the
annual holiday tradition—The
Nutcracker. This production is the
only Nutcracker in Knoxville with
live music. The Knoxville Symphony
Orchestra will accompany the show.
The Appalachian Ballet Company
will present two public shows on
December 5th at 8 pm & December
6th at 2 pm at the Knoxville Civic
Auditorium. School matinees are
December 3rd & 4th.

Guest artists Christine Rennie
and Eddie Mikrut will be dancing
the roles of the Sugarplum Fairy
and the Nutcracker Prince. Rennie
is formerly from the Ohio Ballet
and is currently in her 11th season
with the Nashville Ballet. Mikrut is
also dancing his eleventh season
with the Nashville Ballet.

The Nutcracker is a wonderful way
to ring in the holidays and introduce
young children to the power and
beauty of classical ballet. For over
100 years, this story has proven to be
a favorite, enchanting audiences of
all ages. Come see the magic with
lavish scenery, glorious tutus,
soldiers, snowflakes and sugar plums
at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium
the first weekend of December. EK
