manningintro.jpg For anyone that recalls the lanky Peyton Manning's debut as quarterback for the University of Tennessee, the thought of him as a "grizzled veteran" in the NFL is difficult to accept.

The 32-year-old superstar has been in the NFL for a decade and will participate in his 11th training camp with the Indianapolis Colts this month. Yes, 11 training camps. Which means a lot of cute little babies that were named Peyton way back in the mid-1990's are teenagers now.

It's the 25th anniversary of the UT Trial Gardens, the location and reason for the event, so they're celebrating. This event normally has a charge but this year admissions are sponsored by UT Federal Credit Union. Put simply, they paid everyone's entrance fee. These aren't boring gardens which just have neat rows of plants. Mary Collins-Shepard, Blooms Days Coordinator, describes the UT Trial Gardens as "one of the prettiest gardens in the state."

The House that Dave Built WNOX's Dave Foulk rises at 3:15 in the morning Monday through Friday to come to the station. He then writes and broadcasts the news at the top and the bottom of the hour from 5 am-10 am on FM 100.3. Dave's the voice you hear on your way to work.

But, he's okay with the hours because he's working at his dream job. "The House that Dave Built," his new show on Saturday mornings, allows him to be lazy and lay in bed until 4:30 am. Tune in from 6 am-10 am to listen as he helps homeowners with questions about Do-it-Yourself projects.
