In retail for many years, Laurel Epler knew she wanted to open a gift shop. When she drove through Loudon on a
visit from Florida a year and a half ago, she saw an old building that was a shell of its former self. Pausing in her car
out front, she said, “You know, Lord, this would make a really cute shop.” In June of 2006, she visited the area again and that shop had been bought and renovated. It even had a “For Lease”
sign on the door. She signed a lease and, by August, was officially moved to Loudon and preparing The Laurel Wreath
